On a recent trip to Srilanka, we hired services of Tropical Ceylon for our hotel bookings and tours of Kandy, Nuwara Elliya, Galle, Bentota and Colombo city. Everything was perfectly charted out by directress Melanie Silva right from airport pickup to drop. The choice of hotels was good and were excellently located. Tour itinerary was also such as to cover maximum number of tourist spots. The chauffeurs and tour guides also did their best to make us explore Srilanka in most comfortable manner. The rates too were reasonable. We were also compensated well for a minor unprecedented technical glitch in Van's AC system by complimentary drop to airport. Melanie and her team throughout the tour remained in touch with us to just to be assured that everything is fine. It was a home like feeling in Srilanka. Tropical Ceylon is highly recommended for it's tour and travel services in and around Colombo.

Both the Alta Vista stay and Sea Rocks hotels was too hood to be explained one has to experience the scenic beauty and spend some time just relaxing. It was arranged very nicely with a good driver to guide us. Both the free Ayurveda massage and watersports at Bentota could not be done – I am not sure why but otherwise hotel stay food and rest was all fine.
Meeting Melani and her family was the best part of our trip. She was warm and cordial and she also packed some local Christmas goodies and sweets for us to take back home. It was our first visit to Colombo and it sure was a very good trip, Not only Melani help us plan the itinerary out well: she aslo suggested the hotel we could consider, etc., She was a prefect hos to us even. The service offered through her agency are good and I would strongly recommend her.

Tropical Ceylon provided us with the best rate and accommodated all our needs. Melani was a pleasure to work with and made herself available at all times. Our driver, ranjit was also very knowledgeable and punctual. I would recommend Tropical Ceylon for your Sri Lanka holiday planning. Thank you TC!
Let me have some informal feedback on our recent cooperation and visit to Sri Lanka. It was quite exciting for us, really a unique experience of the place and people. Though a bit intense trip we are satisfied and glad we spent several days there. I would particularly commend the service of Mr Thelan. While being on one hand a discreet in the manner he was always standing by thus giving us the best quality service. We shall be pleased to further recommend your agency to our relatives. friends and colleagues. Sincerely, Sasa Sreckovic curator/ Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade (Serbia)
It was a awesome trip. Starting from trip to Pinnawala to Kandy to Nuwaraeliya to Negambo and then back to Colombo. It was a fantastic & memorable trip. Special mention to cab driver manjula - a awesome human being, helpful & joyful person. Thanks to Shanaka & its Team & Manjula for making trip so memorable. It was a good platform with lots of Travel agents- and the quotes that I got were really helpful for better judgement and better comparison. Not to mention the ease of payment and after sales with dedicated person calling and solving all queries. a superb experience and trust worthy.
Excellent tour we had, and greatly arranged by Shanaka of Tropical Ceylon. Glad to have Chamind as our car driver. Excellent stays, and organised tour plans and more importantly very good car driver, whose importance is safety of his customers.
Tropical Ceylon tours is professional and I will recommend them without any hesitation. I went on a customized 6 days Ramayana Trail tour. I had provided them an itinerary what I wanted to see and they followed them as per my plan I requested minimum 4 or 5 star hotels and Melanie arranged as per my request and all hotels were to our expectation except the one in Kartegeyagama The driver Sernath cares for the customer he always followed the posted speed and he has lot of patience and he spoke good English. I plan to visit Sri Lanka to see the beaches and I will use Melani Tropical Tours again.
We have enjoyed our tour of Sri lanka and now are back to the routine in India. I would like to share some comments/experiences with you for your future reference and evaluations. First, the Chauffer cum guide Nishantha was excellent. His overall services, temperament and dedication to work are excellent and highly recommendable. He is a gem of a person, always smiling and always ready to adjust and fulfill our needs. The Kandy City Hotel has excellent rooms, dining facilities and services. In spite of the hustle bustle of the downtown city area, once you are inside the hotel, the ambience is peaceful and pleasant. The reception and restaurant staff was very courteous. The only suggestion is that the restaurant is not Air Conditioned and becomes stuffy. So provision of A.C. in the restaurant is suggested. The Royal View, Nuwara Eliya has a good location near the Gregory lake, and the view of the lake is available only from the balcony. The service and dining facility and food are excellent, but even the superior room provided to us was quite small. The bathroom was stinking. Overall experience is good. The TaproSpa, Beruwala is a well-developed property, but the maintenance and overall up-keep and the front desk services requires much to be improved. The view of the sea-front from the room was good. The common wash rooms are dirty, the showers in the swimming changing rooms are not in working condition and the swimming pool is not properly cleaned and maintained. The restaurant facility and staff are good. On our second day, we handed over the room keys at 8.30 am for cleaning, but when we returned from sightseeing at 4 pm, the room was not cleaned! This was in spite of the fact that only 5 rooms were occupied in the entire hotel on that day! The Faiview Hotel, Colombo is the best of the lot. The rooms are very spacious, and all the facilities and services, breakfast etc. very good. The ocean view from the room was excellent. Clearly this place is the winner! The dinner at Shanmuga’s Restaurant which is very close to the hotel was excellent. In sightseeing, we quite enjoyed the Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage, Tooth Relic Temple, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Hanuman Temple, Nuwara Eliya Lake, Seetha Amman Temple, water falls, Galle fort, Boat Ride in the Madu River in Balapiya and Turtle Hatchery. I will send you some pictures of our tour by separate mail. I also want to send some photos to Nishantha, so please arrange to send me his Email ID. My wife Avani and daughter Anuja join me in thanking you for taking immaculate care of all our travel arrangements and making our Sri lanka tour such a pleasant and memorable experience.
